On 27 January 2026, the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, led by Assistant Professor
Dr. Chonmapat Torasa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, together with faculty personnel, co-organized a press conference and product introduction event for the ThaiPDA AWARD 2026 Packaging Design Competition.

The event was attended by Ms. Wanna Sutas na Ayutthaya, President of the Thai Packaging Design Association, and was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Komsan Somanawat, Vice President for Administration of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, who presided over the opening ceremony.

The event was held at the PhD.M.F.A (Music) Room, Ground Floor, Building 58, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.

The objective of this event was to provide opportunities for design students to actively participate in a national-level platform, to learn professional standards, and to further develop their potential in creativity, design, and brand communication through packaging. The Faculty recognizes that the ThaiPDA Award is not merely a competition, but an important mechanism for inspiring young people and serving as a bridge connecting educational institutions, professional designers, and the industrial sector, in alignment with the university’s mission to produce high-quality graduates who are ready for professional practice.

In addition, the event featured a panel discussion covering the competition theme, judging criteria, and application process, as well as a Product Orientation Workshop, which included product presentations from sponsors. Key topics also emphasized the integration of creative packaging design with ecological and economic principles (eco-friendly products), and highlighted global opportunities, particularly pathways toward participation in the ASIA PACKAGE DESIGN AWARD 2026 (APD SHANGHAI 2026).
