Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University has successfully implemented a community-based development project aimed at mitigating forest fires and drought while promoting biomass management and the restoration of community forest ecosystems in Kut Mak Fai Subdistrict, Nong Wua So District, Udon Thani Province.

The project adopts a participatory approach by working closely with local communities throughout every stage of implementation. Activities include site surveys, community consultations, knowledge transfer, practical biomass management operations, and continuous ecosystem monitoring. These collaborative efforts have established sustainable and context-specific approaches to natural resource management that are tailored to the unique environmental and social conditions of the area.
The project has achieved several significant outcomes, including:
* Reducing the risk of forest fires through proactive biomass and fuel-load management.
* Mitigating drought impacts by implementing effective soil moisture and water resource management strategies.
* Promoting the sustainable utilization of biomass, transforming agricultural and forest residues into valuable resources.
* Restoring and conserving community forest ecosystems, thereby enhancing biodiversity and ecological resilience.
* Strengthening collaboration among the University, local communities, and government agencies to foster long-term environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
This initiative represents another significant achievement in integrating research, academic services, and community development to create practical and sustainable solutions for local environmental challenges. It demonstrates Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University's commitment to applying academic knowledge and innovation to improve community well-being, conserve natural resources, and promote sustainable environmental management for future generations.
