Third-year students from the Graphic and Multimedia Design Program, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, participated in the Workshop on Enhancing Business Opportunities for Women and Families: “From Thai Textiles to Quality of Life Development” for participants from the Central, Southern, and Eastern Regions, held from July 21–24, 2026, at The Twin Towers Hotel, Bangkok.
The workshop was organized to strengthen the long-term capacity of women and families by equipping participants with practical knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and innovative approaches to creating value from Thai textiles and local resources. The initiative is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to No Poverty (SDG 1), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12). Through these objectives, the program aims to empower participants to pursue sustainable careers, generate income, and expand future business opportunities.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Jatuporn Rojanapanich, Director-General of the Department of Women's Affairs and Family Development, who emphasized the importance of empowering women and families through knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship to enhance both economic resilience and quality of life.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in a variety of knowledge-sharing sessions, practical activities, and discussions with experts, gaining valuable insights into business development, product value creation, branding, and sustainable entrepreneurship. The experience enabled students to broaden their perspectives, apply creative design concepts to real-world challenges, and strengthen their professional competencies while fostering a greater sense of social responsibility.
