Assistant Professor Parinwat Thanasiratheerachai, Head of the Engineering Management Program, Faculty of Engineering and Industrial Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, received the Excellent Pitching Award for his research presentation at APPTech EXPO 2026: The Power of Appropriate Technology for Local Community Development, Empowering Community Innovators and Driving Sustainable Grassroots Economic Growth. The event was held from August 4–5, 2026, at the Vibhavadi Ballroom (ABC), Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok.

The award-winning research project, entitled “Forests that Generate Income: Enhancing Household Net Income through Appropriate Technology Transfer and Capacity Building for Community Innovators in Community Forest Areas,” focuses on applying Appropriate Technology to increase household income, strengthen the capabilities of community innovators, and develop sustainable approaches to community forest resource management. The research connects academic knowledge generated by the University with practical applications in local communities, producing tangible economic, social, and environmental outcomes while contributing to efforts to reduce forest fires and haze pollution.

The Excellent Pitching Award recognizes research projects that demonstrate outstanding presentation skills and effectively communicate their concepts, methodologies, implementation processes, and research outcomes. The award reflects the researcher's ability to translate academic knowledge into practical applications and to build confidence among experts, partner organizations, and event participants.

The award was presented by Mr. Thanin Pha-em, former Deputy Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Board, in recognition of outstanding research and researchers who demonstrate excellence in communicating research outcomes and advancing the application of Appropriate Technology for sustainable community development.
